Summary of the Feature Workshops

At animate.net, we offer a flexible assortment of 7 workshops that are 14 weeks each. For example if someone has years of experience in full body physical actions and knows the basics inside and out, they can skip those workshops and just work on full facial animation. That way everyone gets to work on improving where they need it most.

Introduction to Feature Quality Animation

Part  1: In this first 7 week part of the workshop we will be polishing your principles of Animation, Paths of Actions, 2D and /or CG planning process.  (cost $999)

Part  2: In this 7 week part of the workshop we will be reinforcing your initial body mechanics, overlapping actions and walks with a focus on acceleration and deceleration. (cost $999)
Body Mechanics

Part 1: In this first 7 week part of the workshop we will concentrate on bi-pedal actions to try to execute a natural flow through our character's movements. (Cost $999)

Part 2: In this second 7 week part of the workshop we will focus on our four legged friends. We need to study all kinds of four legged actions to animate the performances believably. (Cost $999)
Advanced Body Mechanics and Pantomime Acting

Part 1: In this 7 week part of the workshop we will be fine tuning your Advanced Body Mechanics, overlapping actions, and acting through pantomime.  (cost $999)

Part 2: In this 7 week part of the workshop you will be dealing with intense physical action shots dealing with Weight pushes, pulls and lifts. Then working on your animation across cuts so that they are seamless and believable.  (cost $999)
Close up facial acting and lip sync

Part 1: In this 7 week part of the workshop we will concentrate on polishing and fine tuning your close up facial acting and lip-sync. We will be working on how we can improve our overall believability and appeal by choosing sincere acting choices.   (cost $999)

Part 2: In this 7 week part of the workshop we will try to chose a contrasting shot from part 1 to refine and control our Body Mechanics to help emphasize and not over rule our facial Acting.  (cost $999)
Full body acting, facial and lip sync exercises

Part 1: In this 7 week part of the workshop we will now refine our full body acting and lip-sync to make our acting read while choosing full body gestures that supports the characters emotional state. (cost $999)

Part 2: In this 7 week part of the workshop we will be picking an audio clip that will contrast part 1 to further refine and polish our Body Mechanics so that they support the character's facial performance. (cost $999)
Sequence work

Part 1: In this 7 week workshop, we will be working with continuity across cuts. We will be fine tuning your planning and blocking process for a substantial length of dialog. This will greatly help our productions run more smoothly. (cost $999)

Part 2: In this 7 week workshop, we will now work on refining your animation from part 1 so that it is production ready. Many directors want to see a plan or blue print from us so that they can feel comfortable with the time spent on polishing shots. (cost $999)
Showreel Polish

Part 1: In this 7 week part of the workshop we will concentrate on polishing. You will be fine tuning a shot of your choices that will best balance out your demo reel. We will be working on how we can improve our overall believability and appeal by choosing sincere acting choices. (cost $999)

Part 2: In this 7 week part of the workshop we will concentrate on polishing a second shot to best balance out your demo reel. Again, the focus will be polish, polish, polish. We will be working on how we can improve our overall believability and appeal by choosing sincere acting choices. (cost $999)
